EES: Electrical Energetic Systems Earthing and Grounding Safety (ADK: D-5/922)
The acquired knowledge is focused on assuring of safety conditions and protection against electrical shock by evaluating of automatic tripout ability and tripout time. Additional factors are used in calculations to protect transformers and built-in equipment in case of overheating. Several procedures and measuring methods are explained for maintenance in safe manner when work energized. The candidate will gain knowledge of evaluated parameters, the suggested limits from the standard and the examples of PASS / FAIL results. The responsibility of the candidate is the correct reports and markings and the appropriate acting and informing.
Areas of Application
- Requirements for initial and periodic verification of earthing / grounding systems around electrical energetic installations & systems exceeding 1 kV.
- Grounding, potential rising, voltage funnels around power transformers, generators, substations, utilities.
- Grounding and earthing of distribution and transmission systems, pylons & towers.
- Measuring & analyzing earthing and grounding by standardized methods according to IEEE 81, EN 50522, IEC 62305, IEC / HD 60364-6.
