PVV: Photo Voltaic Installations Safety / Quality (ADK: D-5/712)

The knowledge is focused on evaluating safety and quality of the photo-voltaic systems. The parameters of the panels and the strings, quality and degradation parameters, measuring methods assuring of the safety conditions and protection against electrical shock, proper insulation evaluation of the system, evaluation of over-current and over-voltage protection, SPD protection, lightning protection and fire hazards, quality parameters on DC and AC side of invertor for efficiency of the system and much more. Certified candidate is qualified to evaluate parameters, the limits suggested from the standard and the examples of PASS or FAIL results. The responsibility of the candidate is to make correct reporting, marking, acting and informing appropriately.

Areas of Application

  • Requirements for special installations or locations – Solar photovoltaic (PV) power supply systems
  • Applies to the electrical installation of PV systems intended to supply all or part of an installation. The equipment of a PV installation, like any other item of equipment, is dealt with only so far as its selection and application in the installation is concerned
  • Requirements for the reporting of the results of the initial verification after completion of a new installation or completion of additions or of alterations to existing installations.
