ESH LV LockTag: Low-voltage electrical installations expert for ensuring electrical safety and quality of work in the de-energized state and near live voltage parts – Working Places with a Limited Approach Permit (ADK: D-5/007)
Employer shall ensure that all persons who use the work equipment and any of his employees who supervises or manages the use of work equipment have received adequate training for purposes of health and safety, including trainings on methods of using this equipment and warnings about the risks associated.
The certification exam is based on the content of the Electrical Safety and Health and Use of Work Equipment Regulations.
In addition to passing the LockTag exam, workers who perform work near-live voltage parts must also be specially qualified in the field in which they perform work. They can demonstrate their specific qualification in accordance with local regulations, and they can also demonstrate their competences by passing the Eedison competency exam in accordance with the standards.
Responsibility for the specific qualification lies with the worker carrying out the live work.
The knowledge focuses on ensuring safety and protection against electric shock and arc flash. Electrical safety in the workplace is ensured by following the correct procedures in the correct order. Completion of the certification process verifies knowledge of the procedures in the correct sequence and serves as proof of delegation of responsibility, ensuring continued growth in electrical health and safety and reducing risks from live and nearby work.
Candidate receives higher personal responsibility, capability, competency and capacity for the purpose of receiving and performing a specific job or contract. The responsibility of the candidate is to make correct reporting, marking, acting and informing appropriately.
